Dr. Kurt J. Tichy is a native of southern Connecticut and currently lives with his wife and children in Orange. He attained a bachelor of science degree in honors physiology and neurobiology from the University of Connecticut in 1989.
Dr. Tichy went on to attain his doctor of optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Tichy has been serving the greater Stratford area for over 25 years. In May 2006, he opened his first office, Oronoque Eye Care Inc. In January, 2017, he opened his second practice with his partner, Dr. Karen Bonnanzio, in Waterbury. Dr. Tichy prides himself on giving each and every one of his patients a thorough and honest eye exam. He always takes the extra time to explain his exam findings to his patients and makes sure all of his patients’ questions are answered. Dr. Tichy is board certified by the American Optometric Association- a distinction that has enabled him to treat and diagnose eye disease with added confidence and care.
